I was impressed by the visual dexterity of the group.
We shared the responses with each other and contrived lists of issues and possible ideas. Sophie was elected group scribe due to her neat handwriting.
Having created a variety of monochrome grasping hands I was reminded of the Russian constructivist aesthetic. To fully realise this idea I consulted with constructivist conventions of vector-like design. Unfortunately I wasted a heap of time attempting to instal the font of my choice, 'molot'. When I eventually asked a technician for assistance it was solved forthwith.

I used illustrator to create the precise vectors, and arranged the elements in Photoshop, I decided against adding a texture on top, because I was most pleased with the clean shapes.
The following pair were my favourite resolutions, due to the general balance of the vector imagery. However, I find that context of the message is removed due to the lack of any visual aids (for example, a bottom). The viewer is not shown what the looming hand should supposedly refrain from grabbing. The solution for the final piece is evidently to construct a bottom to couple the hand, thus creating some kind of conflict or tension.
