Level 6 - What next?

I have had a good deal of time to think about what I would like to accomplish in this final year. In level 5 I responded to almost all of the live briefs using singularly digital methods. While this seemed like a time-saving practice at the time, hindsight would suggest that some briefs may have taken less time with some more analogue development.

I would like to refine my specialist areas of interest, such as environment and character design, and incorporate them into larger projects.

Generally, the sort of briefs I would like to respond to are as follows:

. Short zine-based brief - By short, I refer to the page quantity. I have consistently made 8-page hotdog books which involve highly detailed artwork, and I would like to take this further

. Product and Packaging - My CoP research has made me fascinated with how large franchises appropriate characters across an infinity of products, and I would certainly like to create a sort of range using a third party such as Awsome Merchandise

. YCN - I enjoyed the YCN briefs, although I understand now that my responses were not particularly useful... My illustrations were technically good, however the ideas were almost bolt-on.

. Narrative - I have avoided producing a story/book, and I reckon that it is within my abilities, there is potential to respond to upcoming competitions/anniversaries in 2016.

. Informative - I would like to produce work that deals with raw information, and potentially relates to my interests, for example instructional/mechanical/scientific/historical information.

. Collaboration - Last year an animator showed interest in my environment designs, and I would certainly like to take my static imagery into moving image.
