Collaborative Practice: Initial Response

For this brief we are to operate in pairs. Finding a partner was simplified when Becca H. approached me. Becca's responses to the previous module in which she had also illustrated Agatha Christie were most excellent, so I obviously deemed that a collaboration would be most productive.

We have chosen to address Pantone's brief: 'Reimagine your hometown through the language of colour'. It is convenient at least that this is a D&AD brief, meaning that the deadline will not conflict with the briefs we are already addressing by YCN.

The brief is superficially simple, after some study it is puzzling. We are not entirely certain what the purpose of the brief is; whether we are genuinely proposing a new all-encompassing colour scheme and identity of our chosen city, or simply illustrating our own perspective. 

I would suggest that the brief is at least open enough to allow for either of these eventualities, but it is nevertheless difficult.
