My experience in the print room was plagued with frequent mistakes, both beyond and within my control. My ongoing concern with making flat and presentable book covers has led to the designs actually functioning incorrectly, which I discovered to my dismay soon before the final deadline.
Although they appear perfectly fine in a flat context, when wrapped around a book it is revealed that I failed to make the central black spine thick enough to create a balanced boarder on the front and back covers. I also find the quality of the prints somewhat distressing, however this could not have been resolved with more time in the print room, as I gave myself plenty of time before the ultimate deadline. One prominent problem was the halftone effect repeatedly causing the screen to flood and cause the prints to distort and bleed.
