Visual Journal: Line-Based Drawing Exercise

I chose a range of orange pens for this exercise to add a little more vibrance.

Quite simply, we chose three images and made studies using the many variant lines that we had catalogued.

Obviously, some attempts are more successful than others. I found the lone house imagery the more evocative of the isolated atmosphere of many of Agatha's settings.

In the final exercise we combined the three motifs into one composition, I found that the bottom left imagery was the more successful as it created the impression of depth with the varying line styles.
