Visual Communication: Studio Brief 1 (Resolution)

This is the finished edit of the .gif, it took a lengthy amount of time due to the initial unfamiliarity with editing large quantities of images. However, I am now confident that future applications of the process will be much quicker thanks to this labored experience.

Using the initial .gif below I repainted the backgrounds of each frame, which was a time consuming process. As I was not content with the pixelated text I also reapplied the font onto each frame.
However I could not fathom how to variate the angle of text in each frame, as changing the angle in one frame appeared to make a holistic change across all frames, unlike the re-positioning procedure.

The below photograph was our final chosen image, as we felt it's atmosphere reflected the sinister and threatening overtones of our chosen topic. That's not to say I am alluding to any factual characteristics of the alleyway, it simply provided a good proxy for the back alleys of clubs or bars.
But perhaps I am mildly disappointed that we did not actually take the cardboard cut-outs to the genuine article.

For comparison, here are a selection of less successful photographs that were taken:

We rather felt that this photograph was too crowded, as the lettering of the signage competes with our own.

This shot provided the most amount of public attention, in that many passers by stared at us bemusedly. It is optimistic to conclude that our message might have affected an individuals opinion, or at least inspired a moments ponder, but I hasten to rationalise that this is conjecture, and we cannot hope to quantify the effects of holding up a large cardboard bottom.
