Visual Narratives: Colouration and Testing

By using the channels panel I was able to add colouration to the black linear drawings.
I have investigated several pallets and have decided that a combination of the reds and blues would suit the tones of the narrative.

I also printed out one of the edits in black and white, to which I applied felt-tip. The aesthetic was intriguing, but less manageable than the digital method.

For the cover I chose to add a moderately elaborate border, a visual reference to archaic book design. The decorative border also suits the time period in which the narrative occurs.

Unfortunately my attempts to create a concertina-type book was thwarted by error.
Firstly, I erred by sticking the reverse pages the wrong way up, the sticking process was also highly flawed as I poorly applied PVA, causing rippling and unseemly creases.
