This design is based on a large jardiniere ordament. Jardinieres are essentially large plant pots, my parents now own three of them for reasons beyond comprehension. I appropiated the design as a print for mother's day. This had led me to further possibilities, the patterns involved are rather flexible and may be applied to textile etc.
