SB2 - Faculty of Engineering Colouring Book: Developments [4]

We had another meeting with Kerry, and she proposed a further four designs. I elected to allow the other team members to design these as I had already done plenty. Will was unable to finish his design as he needed to prioritise other work, leading me to produce this image based on his initial sketches, it was peculiar completing an image based on another practicioners development, but perhaps it made the composition unique.

As part of the book launch, my double spread image shall be printed at a large scale (roughly 6x2 metres), and will be the centre of a one-day event in the Trinity shopping centre. This is honsetly pretty exciting, the image will be coloured in throughout the day by children or other participants.

Vectorising artwork offers it's own complications, are there was some distortion of fine detail. For perfect rendering I would have had to draw the image from scratch in vector from the start.
I think that at the scale it will be shown at, distortion will be negligable, and probably only I will notice.
